Ember Between Currents was not designed as a decorative object. It began with the observation of how tension behaves when it has nowhere to collapse. The structure is built from two opposing metal flows—one warm-toned, one cool-toned—that never fully meet, yet are held in a shared system of balance. Between them, a single red stone is placed not as decoration, but as a compressed point of energy. It does not complete the structure; it interrupts it.

The design explores what happens when symmetry is intentionally refused. Instead of alignment, it creates direction. Instead of closure, it creates suspension. The cuff exists in a state between movement and restraint—as if the form is still deciding how it wants to resolve itself. It is not a finished gesture. It is a held moment of transformation. Each piece carries slight variation in curvature and tension, reflecting the impossibility of repeating a structural imbalance exactly the same way twice. Once completed, it cannot return to the same state again.
